Seeking build partners

CADi CaseShield is an open invitation: we are looking for partners to build it with us. If you run a firm's risk across the caseload and want one reliable record, we would like to hear from you.

A missed deadline nobody owned

A law firm's risk is spread across every case: intake and conflicts, AML, supervision, deadlines, and now AI-assisted work. Each is a recurring decision, and a failure in any one - a missed deadline nobody owned - can become a claim or a regulatory matter.

When one of those decisions is questioned, defending it means going back to the file and reconstructing what was done and why. Across a whole caseload, that reconstruction is exactly what a compliance officer, an insurer or a regulator cannot rely on being consistent.

What CADi CaseShield does

CADi CaseShield evidences how a law firm's cross-case risk decisions - intake, AML, supervision, deadlines, AI-assisted work - were governed, alongside the firm's own systems. It does not practise law or replace a solicitor's supervision.

For each recurring risk decision it produces the policy applied, the rationale, the counterfactual and an immutable trace, packaged so a compliance officer, a supervising partner, an insurer or the regulator can rely on it without reconstructing the file. The accountable human stays accountable.

What you get

One record across the caseload

A firm-wide record for each recurring risk decision - intake, AML, supervision, deadlines, AI-assisted work - rather than a per-file reconstruction.

Relied on, not rebuilt

Packaged so a compliance officer, a supervising partner, an insurer or the regulator can rely on it directly, without going back to the file.

The accountable human stays accountable

It evidences how the decision was governed; it does not practise law or replace a solicitor's supervision - accountability stays with the person.

The whole risk surface

Covers the cross-case seams where a firm is exposed, so a failure in any one is defensible rather than an orphaned gap.

Who it's for

Law firms & legal operations

Firms carrying cross-case risk across intake, AML, supervision and deadlines, who must defend how each recurring decision was handled.

COLPs, COFAs & supervising partners

The compliance and supervision owners accountable for the firm-wide standard, who need one reliable record rather than a per-file rebuild.

How the engine applies

CADi CaseShield is one product in the CADi range: the same deterministic causal engine - nine layers, a do-calculus core and a hash-chained audit trail - pointed at a firm's cross-case risk decisions.

It belongs to the reporting layer: it runs alongside the firm's own systems, evidencing how each decision was governed rather than making it, and is built to graduate into the decision itself once the evidence loop is trusted - enter on evidence, earn the decision.

Where this is today

CADi is at v0.9 - built and running end-to-end - on nine pending UK patents. CADi CaseShield evidences how a decision was governed; it does not practise law, replace a solicitor's supervision, or guarantee a regulatory outcome.

The causal mathematics is rigorous and correctly implemented. Today it runs on an assumed causal graph with heuristic inputs; it is analytical approximation on assumed inputs, not yet statistically validated against live outcomes. We lead with the rigour, and we name the caveat.
